No; it means that we have remade ourselves in the image of the one who coveted what belonged to God; all of creation, but particularly the one creation that God created in His own image. - Genesis 1:27
He began to oppose God, earning the name, Satan, and to slander God, earning the title, Devil: He spoke through the serpent in the Garden of Eden, telling Eve that she and Adam could become like God, instead of dying, if only they would decide for themselves, what is good and bad all their lives. - Genesis 3:1-5
Despite the fact that they were already like God - created in His image - they fulfilled the Devil's covetous wish by coveting the position of being like God - who is in Heaven - remaking themselves into the image of the covetous slanderer of God, instead.
